Immune System Support Series: Hypertension (Part 2)

What are some steps that can be taken to potentially reduce hypertension and support the immune system? Here are several “proven non-pharmacological interventions for prevention and treatment of hypertension. (1)

Healthy diet. How would you rate your diet on a scale of 1-10? Does it include a variety of healthy proteins, fats, and carbs?

Reduced intake of dietary sodium. Instead of consuming high amounts of sodium in processed foods or takeout, cook at home with mineral-rich Himalayan or Celtic salt.

Enhanced intake of dietary potassium. Are you consuming fruits and vegetables everyday? Those can be a great source of potassium.

Physical activity. Are you staying consistent in working out and enjoying nature for at least 30 minutes a day? Sign up for remote coaching to stay accountable from home.

Moderation in alcohol intake. Has quarantine stress led to excess consumption of alcohol? Instead of reaching for alcohol to drink, reach for a healthier beverage like S.Pellegrino mineral water, coconut water, or tea.
