Are You Building Health or Building Disease? (Part 2)

This is part 2 on awareness of whether you’re building health or disease. Consider the following areas:

  1. Lifestyle. If you were to describe your lifestyle in ten words, what would they be? Hopefully you get to include delicious food, fitness, nature, supportive family/friends, rest, and more! If not, consider what you have control over to change.

  2. Pesticides and Chemical Exposure. What ingredients are in your household cleaning items, your makeup, your deodorant, your bodycare products, and your home products? We have so many choices available, make informed and educated ones to limit exposure to harmful ingredients.

  3. Environmental Pollution. Obviously, we can’t control all pollution or exposure in our lives, but there are conscious decisions we can make in certain situations. For example: Use a water filter if you know your city doesn’t have high quality water, use a suitable mask when around noxious fumes with painting, etc.

  4. Digestive Problems and Internal Toxicity. If our diets include an overconsumption of processed diary, refined flour, refined sugars, alcohol, suppressive medications, NSAID’s, etc., we create a polluted microbiome which can at the very least lead to an impaired ability to digest and absorb nutrients from our food.

  5. Suppressive Medications. Symptoms are signals of root problems. Medications can sometimes cover up the problems that need to be dealt with. What’s the best way to build health? Take the road of discovering and understanding root causes rather than medications.
