What Foods and Nutrients Support Healthy Joints?
By Lydia Wallie, Nutrition Director
Joints are susceptible to a lot of wear and tear so it’s important to eat well to support them.
Foods that support joint health are going to be anti-inflammatory, whereas the food/beverages that contribute to joint issues are inflammatory.
Choose these foods/nutrients:
Collagen (1): Bone broth, eggs, and collagen powder.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids (2): Fatty fish such as salmon or mackerel, chia seeds, walnuts, and flaxseeds. Also, supplement with fish oil.
Tart Cherry Juice (3).
Turmeric (4).
Vitamin C (5): Acerola cherry, bell peppers, broccoli, camu camu, kiwi, oranges, papaya, and strawberries.
