Upgrade Your Work Health Lifestyle

Since work tends to take up a majority of our lives, what are some ways to build healthier habits at work? Try these strategies!

Install a blue light blocker like f.lux (may help with headaches and eyestrain). I personally use this and it makes an enormous difference.

Buy an indoor plant. Besides helping with better air quality, plants have aesthetic qualities including fractals which help reduce stress when you gaze at them. Fractals are never ending patterns found in nature, the human body, mathematics, and elsewhere. “Take, for example, staring into the flickering flames of a fire or looking up at tree branches swaying in the wind. The patterns in both cases vary with time while preserving their fractal qualities. The combination of their fractal content, along with other factors such as color and subjective associations, almost certainly reduce our stress.” (1) The color green is also right in the middle of our visible spectrum which makes it the most relaxing color for our eyes to see.
