Dairy-Free Matcha Latte

Drinking matcha is a great way to support the immune system, as described in our post, “Ten Immune Boosting Strategies.” But the taste can resemble grass. So here’s a recipe to try that will hopefully make the taste more appealing.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups water

  • 1 tsp matcha powder

  • 2 tsp pure maple syrup or honey

  • 1 tbsp collagen powder (Vital Proteins or Custom Collagen brand)

  • 2 tbsp coconut cream

  • Optional: 1 tsp vanilla, 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  1. Heat the water in a kettle or on the stove top to boiling.

  2. Place the rest of the ingredients into a mason jar or a Thermos with a wide opening.

  3. Pour the hot water into a mason jar and blend until frothy with an immersion blender. Yum!
