925

All,

I hope you and your families are enjoying this Christmas season. This has always been a time I love for many reasons, the biggest of which is my enormous gratitude for the gift of Jesus Christ to the world. The older I get, the more aware I become of my immense need for Him every day, and the more joy I experience as I see Him at work in the lives of those I’m blessed to know.

925 has been a ministry for Diana and I since we started it in 2012. It has been an extraordinary blessing to our family and I hope to the many we've had the opportunity to serve over the years. We've seen God move in many ways, through relationships, our community, ourselves, our team, and all sorts of unexpected, unexplainable situations.

We began 925 in our garage, expanded through multiple locations, built our current building,  circled back to the garage during C19, then returned to the building, and most recently, our family moved to Corpus Christi at God’s clear, albeit quite surprising, direction.

Since moving to Corpus, we were blessed with our now-one-year-old daughter Elliana and my parents’ move to Corpus as well. Jonathon stepped up to help lead 925 and has done a wonderful job working with the team and providing them help when I couldn't be there. Our team has operated seamlessly, and every time I am in town and get to take a few classes or coach, it feels like home. 925 is a special place, and after visiting many other gyms over the years, I still haven't found one that feels as warm and welcoming.

After hours and hours of prayer, and numerous conversations, Diana and I have been led to simplify our lives so we can focus on what God has put directly in front of us: each other, our kids, our immediate family, the responsibilities I have with my job, our church and community in Corpus.

It’s been a long time coming– I fought this decision for a while. I love the gym, our community and team, and the many memories we’ve made. Looking back, I am thankful for every minute I had coaching and working at 925. It was an experience that challenged and grew Diana and I immensely.

Now onto what’s next…

We'll be transitioning 925 over to Cade Carnett (former coach Kevin Carnett's older brother) starting January 1, 2024. 925 will be "closed" and Complete Athletic Performance will be the gym going forward.

Cade has a unique skillset and is invested full-time in CAP. He and his wife are fully committed to taking care of all existing members and provide the same love and care Diana and I provided. Cade takes his work seriously and his commitment to his clients, which is one reason why we feel so at peace with this transition. He has a foundation as a believer in Christ as well, which, as you know, is a huge part of our lives and the foundation we built upon.

Over the next month or two, Cade and I will work to transition things over to CAP as smoothly and transparently as possible. Classes and programming should remain the same for a while. Things will change as Cade takes over, but as we've talked through it, I'm extremely confident he has an outstanding approach and you will enjoy learning and getting fitter each day.

For each of you, I ask that you support and encourage him, and pour into him to help in any way you can to maintain the wonderful community you currently enjoy. Be supportive, offer to help, be patient and optimistic when, not if, things change, be open with any feedback, and be there for each other.

We'll still be in town from time to time, so I'm sure I'll get to work out with you, enjoying whatever Cade has planned. I greatly look forward to watching his gym grow and serve many more people over the years.

Feel free to call, text, or email me to catch up or ask questions. I'd love to hear from you!

I hope and pray that 925's namesake will be planted in your hearts to share with others:

Hello, All!

I’m Cade Carnett, and for those of you I haven’t crossed paths with yet, I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you.

A bit about me and my background:

I'm a graduate of Texas State University, where I earned my degree in exercise sport science. Over the years, I've worked alongside some of the most esteemed professionals and facilities in the world, from Westside Barbell to training Olympic track stars. My passion for training and human performance has been the driving force behind my life's work.

Throughout my career, I've trained professionals, weightlifters, crossfitters, and athletes of all ages. Now, I'm excited to begin this new chapter with you, the 925 community. This will be my full-time undertaking, and my wife, Megan, and I are fully committed to continuing the exceptional work that Ben began years ago.

As with any leadership transition, there will be changes ahead. The facility will continue to offer small group training for both adults and athletes. Our mission is simple—improve the health and human performance of our community by providing elite-level coaching and scientific training methods. We will further strengthen and expand our small group training offerings for adults, building a positive and uplifting culture and training environment that is second to none.

You have my gratitude for your support, and I can't wait to meet each and every one of you personally. Merry Christmas!

Looking forward to the future,
Cade Carnett
