No Finish Line: Reflecting on Our First 7 Years.

By Diana Tyler

This month, we’re celebrating seven years since we opened our doors at CrossFit 925. As many of us do on our birthdays, we’re taking time to reflect upon our journey – the ups and downs, challenges and triumphs, and most of all, the wonderful community of members and staff that has become like family to us.

Above, you’ll see photos chronicling our journey thus far, beginning in a 2,000-square-foot space in the middle of a gas station strip center and ending in our current location, a six-thousand-square-foot building all our own!

We’ve come a long way since those early days, and while we’re grateful for a larger space, more equipment, quite literally cool (air conditioning and cold showers, anyone?) amenities, plenty of parking, and topnotch coaches and programs, we know we’re nowhere near the finish line. In fact, we don’t like the idea of reaching the end of this race we’re in, as we strive to be in a continual state of improving, honing, learning, and optimizing to better serve our community.

This no-finish-line mentality is one we encourage our athletes to adopt as well, as it encourages us to look beyond short-term fitness goals, such as weight loss or a weightlifting personal record, and focus on a lifestyle of health and wellness that can always be strengthened and refined.

We hope you enjoy reflecting with us, and also hope you’ll join us in celebrating at our upcoming birthday party this coming weekend! For details, please contact Crystal, our athlete experience manager at crystal_juarez@crossfit925.com.

Practice the philosophy of continuous improvement. Get a little bit better every single day.
